Egil Olsen, claimed “one of norway’s very best songwriters” (DN) and “the nicest and most peculiar artist we have” (VG), has been touring and releasing albums on his own little lable for over a decade. The idiosyncratic singer/songwriter has, since his 2007 solo debut ‘I am a Singer/Songwriter’, released five critically acclaimed albums and done hundreds of live shows. Now, he looks back on his ten years with the release of a beautiful, massive double live album. This is Egil Olsen solo, with an acoustic band, with an electric band and with an orchestra.

Besides producing his own albums, he has made music for tv, films and computer games. Egil Olsen also makes his own music videos and artwork, and has an autobiographical comic strip on Instagram and in one of Norway’s main newspapers (DB) about the “life of a relatively unknown popstar”. Egil Olsen also makes a cameo appearance doing an ingame concert in the game 'Dreamfall Chapters'. There’s even an Egil Olsen tribute album (on limited vinyl) with Norwegian artists like Thom Hell, Sondre Lerche and Robert Post covering his songs.

Egil Olsen is a live performer out of the ordinary, balancing the vulnerabilty and melancholy in his songs with humor and charming banter. He has done performances in Norway, Germany, Japan, China and the US and played everything from the biggest clubs and festivals, to the tiniest cafés and gardens.
